On a more personal note, these came from the collection of Henry Wernimont, who invited us to buy books from him around 15-20 years ago, when he was in his 90’s. He was an absolutely delightful person. As we worked with his books, he told us stories about his time in the service in World War II. He also described a trip to the World’s Fair when he was a 17 year-old boy. It was an eye-opening experience for him and he had kept a folder of promotional material, which included an ad that came with 3-d glasses! He gave the folder to me, which was incredibly sweet. A few years later, I passed it on to a friend who was interested in the fair. I think that would have pleased him. ~Cinnamon
